Naming Research Test

Lab42 worked with a strategy consultant to determine which names of a new water park they found most appealing.

  • Client - Strategy consultancy
  • Target Market - Parents with children under the age of 18 living in the household
  • Number of Respondents - 211

Problem

The client was opening a new waterpark and had a list of possible park names. Although the top executives of the real estate company wanted to choose the name, our client wanted to ask future water park visitors instead.

Solution

The client used Lab42 to help find respondents to rate the list of possible names based on how well they felt the name fit the water park description, how appealing they found the name, and likelihood of going to the water park based on the name.

Results

We found 200 parents with children under the age of 18 living in their household to successfully complete our survey. We were able to determine the most preferred and the least preferred names overall, and our client successfully convinced the waterpark owners that they needed to listen to the feedback from their future customers rather than making uninformed decisions.
